Les Voiles de Saint Tropez

Toka Sailing Team won the 9th place in her category in one of the most important and prestigious sailing races of the world, Les Voiles de Saint Tropez, held at St. Tropez between 27th of September and 5th of October.
In 316 boats, well-known names and celebrities of the international sailing world participated in Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, racing in four categories: Tradition, Wally, Modern, and the Spirit of Tradition.
 
M.A.T. 12, racing in modern category, IRC B division, won an impressive 9th place among 42 highly worthy opponents including the Italian owner of the Swan, Ferragamo Leonardo and his Cuordileone/Swan 42, Ngoni –another 12 m racing yacht designed by Mark Mills, the very designer of M.A.T. 12– with her team which just recently won the Copa del Rey, as well as Daring/Swan 42 and Interlodge/Swan 42, which came from the States just to participate in the race, from New York Yacht Club.
 
For the first time in Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, a Turkish boat put up a remarkable performance in a breathtaking race competing alongside the most valuable boats of the yachting world such as the gold-colored Kookaburra –the "defender" of the 1987 America Cup–.and world-famous names such as Paul Cayard and Ernesto Bertarelli, who is the owner of the America Cup winner Alinghi.
